Wheedle 1. To persuade or attempt to persuade by flattery or guile. 2. The game of stock taking and deal making. In this not-so-quiet game, players wheel and deal in their attempt to gain control of as many companies they can. Each card represents a single stock, the total shares outstanding varying from company to company. Players yell out cards they are looking for or want to trade as if on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Or, they can trade a card from their hand for the one face up in the middle of the table. Play continues until someone with controlling ownership for each stock in his or her hand yells, “Stop!” Players score points for each share of any company where they own the majority of stock. But watch out – the card remaining in the center of the table when trading stops indicates which company goes bankrupt. Includes 61 stock cards and instructions. For 4 to 6 players.
