Each hand painted playing piece measures between 2. 5'' and 4'' high, and is handcrafted from cold-cast resin with an aged bronze look. Includes a lidded wooden chess board with a cherry finish and individual compartments to store each piece under the playing field. The entire set is held up by four pewter eagles, two with the Confederate flag and two with the US flag. The board features an old fashioned map of the eastern part of the US. The Confederate pieces include Robert E. Lee as the king, Savannah as the State's Rights queen, Stonewall Jackson and Johnston as the bishops, Forrest and J. E.B. Grant as the king, Columbia as The Union queen, Hancock and Sherman as the bishops, Sheridan and Custer as the knights, log fortifications topped by mortars as the rooks, and yankee bluecoats as the pawns.
