The TOKICO Illumina Series Gas Shocks Collection
We are your source for presents, both for yourself and others! Get the best discounts on TOKICO HP Series Gas Shocks.

TOKICO's HP Series shock design continues to be a cut above the rest in overall performance handling and ride quality throughout the automotive aftermarket. The HP Series damping typifies TOKICO's valving flexibility and philosophy by minimizing low speed damping force and greatly increasing damping at medium and high piston speeds for improved compliance, tire adhesion and handling. Even with today's improved O. E. suspension geometry and wheel/tire combinations, the HP Series shock can make the family car more safe and fun to drive yet provides sports car enthusiasts enhanced performance and reliability they expect in a shock. TOKICO's HP Series shock completes any suspension upgrade that includes lowering springs and larger diameter wheel/tire combinations. Such upgrades require the HP Series true-to-form damping for stability, control and ride comfort. Gas Shocks Gas-pressurized shock absorbers have been available for over 30 years. Like non-pressurized shocks they use oil as a damping medium. Sometimes you may see the term gas-filled but this is misleading. Gas-filled struts are a form of spring like those used for hoods, hatches and truck lids. In gas pressurized shocks, the oil is pressurized to minimize the negative effects of foaming or cavitation. Oil has some gas or air bound up in solution. When the shock piston moves through the oil there is a pressure drop behind the piston and the air comes out of solution and forms foamed oil. For maximum performance and efficiency the shock piston must work in clear oil. There are two types of gas-pressurized shocks, monotube high-pressure and twin-tube low-pressure. Generally a twin-tube low-pressure shock will proved a better ride for a given level of control than a monotube high-pressure shock. However an inexpensive poor quality low-pressure shock is no bargain. TOKICO Limited Warranty. TOKICO (USA) Inc. warrants its performance suspension products to the original retail purchaser against defects in material and workmanship and wear-out when used on private passenger cars and light trucks under normal operating conditions for as long as such purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed, except for electronic components, which are warranted for 1 year from date of purchase.
