The reinforced headrest is lined with EPS foam to absorb energy in side and rear impacts. Its design cradles the head to keep it away from intruding parts. Built-in Lock-offs High strength requires a substantial structure. The Bodyguard is the only booster in the world with built-in lock-offs on the base* and a mating backrest-base configuration designed to connect the restraint to the vehicle belts and avoid inertia loading on the child. Lock-offs prevent tipping over during cornering even on slippery seat cushions or seats with humps. The lock-off on one side of the booster can stay clamped on the vehicle belt when the Bodyguard is empty to hold it safely in place and prevent it from flying around during hard braking. Also, this makes it easier to reattach belts the next time the child gets in the Bodyguard. Built-in Recline Shelf The built in recline shelf folds out from the backrest to add more angle for improved sleeping comfort in vehicles with vertical seatbacks. Width Adjustable Base Not all vehicles can fit multiple restraints in the back seat. The width adjuster on the base of the Bodyguard not only provides a custom fit for your child, but may allow more room for additional seat installations. Phenomenal Height Adjustment A simple squeeze can raise the headrest to an exceptionally tall 30 inches (from inside the base), the best in the industry. Secure Belt Loop Guides Press a tab and the belt guide opens for easy threading of the vehicle shoulder belt. Press it again to lock it.
