These pots lend themselves ideally to cooking for small to relatively big groups of folks. The lids can be used for putting coals on top of the pot if required as in baking or using it as an oven. Cooking is normally done over hot coals or briquettes but they can also be used on a gas range by straddling the legs over the burner. They are also great for cooking in the home fireplace. These pots also have other uses such as planters, kindling and firewood receptacles at the fireplace. All types of roasting can be done in these pots. The lids can be used while camping as a frypan by inverting it and placing it in the hot coals - it is great for making bacon and eggs etc. Outside of pot is painted with high heat paint.
